Southbound Lanes of Evangeline Thruway Reopened After Crash Led to Downed Pole
The southbound lanes of the SE Evangeline Thruway near Sixth Street are currently closed to vehicle traffic following an incident involving a downed electrical pole. According to Sgt. Matt Benoit with the Lafayette Police Department, the closure is the result of a single-vehicle crash that occurred just after 6:00 p.m. today. In the crash, a vehicle struck the pole, causing it to fall into the roadway.
