Officials say a red 2009 Chevrolet Silverado with Louisiana license plate Z946646 was reported stolen from a home on Pile Ridge Road.

Investigators believe the truck could play a key role in the case and are urging anyone who may have seen it to come forward.

The victim’s family is still processing the shocking loss. Arthur Durio, the victim’s brother, described the moment he realized something was wrong inside the home.

He said he discovered a large amount of blood near the television and immediately feared the worst. The emotional scene has left family members searching for answers and questioning why someone would carry out such a violent act.
