There have been eight instances of someone stealing military plaques off of graves in Acadia Parish according to a press release from Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers.

According to officials, the first theft happened in March. The Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley was the place where six military plaques were ripped off of the graves. Two more were stolen from graves in Rayne at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Not only is this just mean, but this is also a costly crime. These plaques are cost around $1,500. This is so sad.
