Former New Orleans Saints safety and founder of "No White Flags" Steve Gleason will soon be a father of two.

Steve and wife Michel Gleason confirmed to The Advocate they are expecting their second child.

Jeff Duncan of The-Times Picayune was first to report the baby is a girl, and due in October.

Steve Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011. Three weeks after his diagnosis, the coupled learned Michel was pregnant with their first child.

Their son, Rivers, will turn 7 this October.

Steve Gleason has shared his battle with ALS since the time of the diagnosis through an award-winning documentary, the No White Flags foundation he founded which has raised millions of dollars toward ALS research, and so much more.

The U.S. Senate passed legislation earlier this summer to honor Gleason with the highest honor a citizen can receive from Congress, the Congressional Gold Medal.

Congratulations to Steve, Michel and Rivers on the wonderful news.
