Still A Few Road Closures In Acadiana

When Tropical Storm Barry turned into a hurricane and paid a visit to Louisiana, with it, the storm brought hundreds of road closures.

Most of the road closures have now disappeared as the flooding dissipated.

But, there are still a few roadways that are closed.

The following roadways are still closed as of this morning:

Vermilion Louisiana Highway 3147 @Humble Bridge
St. Mary Louisiana Highway 317 btwn Intracoastal Waterway & Burns Point Lane
Iberia US 90 Frontage Raod @ Hubertville Road
Evangeline Louisiana Highway 10 btwn Louisiana Highway 13 & Louisiana Highway 106.

Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Trooper Thomas Gossen says you can be ticketed for going around a barricade.

He says drivers should never drive through a place where water covers the roadway as you can't judge the depth of the water.
