Student Arrested On Terrorizing Charge At Breaux Bridge High

A 16-year-old student has been arrested after allegedly composing a threatening text message at Breaux Bridge High School.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies say it was a text that was shared among a group of fellow students and was brought to the attention of a School Resource Officer.

The boy has been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on 1 count of Terrorizing. Authorities warn similar threatening situations will face prosecution to the full extent of the law.
