Aretha Franklin dominated the stage at the Kennedy Center Honors slaying her classic song "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." The Queen of Soul even made President Obama cry.
Aretha Franklin is undoubtedly the Queen of Soul, a living legend, a true vocal talent. So it only made sense that she was asked her opinion of the current crop of pop girls during her interview with the Wall Street Journal. Her answers for some (Adele, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys) were positive, fair judgments. Her reaction to others, however -- not so kind.
Aretha Franklin will be performing at Whitney Houston‘s invite-only funeral service on Feb. 18, Entertainment Tonight is reporting. Record label executive Clive Davis, who helped guide the careers of both singers as the president of Arista Records for a quarter-century, personally requested to have Franklin perform, and the Queen of Soul found it impossible to turn down the invitation.
Coming off of her perhaps most embarrassing moment thus far in her career, Christina Aguilera may have a chance to redeem herself at the upcoming Grammy show.
