Louisiana Department of Wildlife enforcement agents recently arrested a Gramercy man for allegedly operating a vessel while impaired (DWI) in the Atchafalaya Basin in St. Martin Parish.
Family members told KATC-TV 3 earlier on Monday (3/8/21) that the man's body had been found under the Basin Bridge near Whiskey Bay close to where his car was found abandoned yesterday.

Deer hunting in portions of Deer Area 5 in the Atchafalaya Basin has been closed due to flooding, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
