Boil Water Advisory

The Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has issued a Boil Water Advisory, alerting residents and businesses in specific areas of the city to exercise caution with their water usage.

The Lafayette Parish Waterworks District North wants to remind customers that the northeast plant will be shut down tonight for repairs.

A major water main break will leave residents under a boil advisory and without water for about four hours today.

The planned outage is expected to last at least six hours and will be followed by a boil advisory as a precaution.

This goes into effect when water is shut off tonight at 11 o'clock.
