An Elton, Louisiana man is dead after he drowned at Rutherford Beach in Cameron Parish on Memorial Day, authorities said.

The two iconic performers weren't in Louisiana to play a show, they were here to film a movie along with Garth Brooks.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Department is now handling the investigation of an alleged assault involving Elton Mayor Kesia Lemoine's son.

According to the complaint the man doused the woman with gasoline and threatened to set their home on fire.
