A well-known Baton Rouge plastic surgeon was among three people who died in a plane crash in Tennessee on Wednesday.

Two major roadways in Louisiana have earned a dubious distinction for being among the deadliest in the nation.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 3,142 people were killed in crashes caused by distracted driving in 2020.

The remains of a man, a woman and a child were found in a car submerged in a New Orleans East canal on Saturday evening, according to a spokesperson with the New Orleans Police Department.

All three deaths are from trees falling.
