FDA Recall

The recall was prompted by findings from a sampling conducted by the State of Maryland, which revealed that samples of Martinelli's apple juice exceeded the approved level for inorganic arsenic in apple juice established by the FDA in June 2023.

Investigations by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have traced the source of these infections to organic walnuts sold in bulk bins at grocery stores like Whole Foods.

Louisiana has two Trader Joe's locations, one in Baton Rouge, and another in Metairie off of Veterans. The state of Texas puts Louisiana to shame with 20 stores total. The recall issued by the FDA will effect these stores along with 16 other states.
