'Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick ‘em all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.'
Both NBC reporter and presenter Michael Keaton mixed up 'Hidden Figures' and 'Fences' into 'Hidden Fences' at the 2017 Golden Globes. See reactions from Twitter.
The Golden Globes are underway, but if you missed the show’s big opening number, you can watch it right now, right here. Host Jimmy Fallon paid homage to one of this year’s big nominees, La La Land, with a musical number inspired by the film’s grand opening, where a whole bunch of people trapped in a Los Angeles traffic jam leap from their cars in a big song-and-dance routine. Fallon’s version, of course, included Stormtroopers from Star Wars, Game of Thrones jokes, and a whole lot more. Take a look:
Following Sunday night’s Critics’ Choice Awards, the Golden Globes nominations have arrived. On Monday morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominees for the 2017 awards, recognizing the best in film and television.
The 2016 awards season is already filled with nostalgia. The Oscars announced the return of former host Chris Rock for the upcoming Academy Awards, and now previous Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais is returning to the stage.
Michael Keaton got choked up while thanking his son, Sean Douglas, at the 2015 Golden Globes last night -- and it turns out his son penned some of our favorite pop songs today.
Besides a funny opening monologue, the 2015 Golden Globes were kinda...boring? Which is weird, because the Golden Globes are supposed to be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. Their entire existence is pretty much to be the boozy, irreverent cousin to the Oscars. But, next year hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler won't be back to host (their three-year contract ended this year) and based on this awards presentation, we think they should give Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader a chance.
The 71st annual Golden Globes took place earlier tonight, and if you didn't actually watch the show and only let the internet tell it, you would swear that Jennifer Lawrence was the only celebrity that showed up. By the way, #Lawrencing is now a "thing," and from people to cats, everyone is in on the meme-tastic fun.
Let us start by saying that we love, love, love all of the celebs that unfortunately landed on our 2014 Golden Globes Worst Dressed list. Not every outfit or ceremony yields home runs, though. It's a fashion fact of life.
