While all you living room musicians out there are jonesing for more Rock Band info, Guitar Hero could be restringing for a new gig on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It looks like Activision is restringing the Gibson and Rickenbacker for Guitar Hero's first major console release in five years.

Remember a while back when everyone learned how to play the guitar using 5 colored buttons? Everyone was jumping on the guitar game bandwagon, even sporting Guitar Hero competitions and numerous Youtube videos. Well, as the years rolled by, time has not been kind to video game developers at Activision and the unemployment numbers just went up a few.
