A 21-year-old Lafayette man pleaded guilty to one count of kidnapping today, admitting that he used a dating app for gay and bisexual men as part of a scheme to kidnap and murder them.

A graphic video showing a special-needs man in Chicago being kidnapped, beaten and tortured has led to the arrest of four people connected with the attack.

Update: The Shreveport Times is reporting that police have released a statement contradicting Sharmeka Moffitt's story, alleging that she set her self on fire and lied about the incident.
