The Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting last night around 6:07 pm in the 2500 block of E. Simcoe Street. Once on the scene, officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers with the Department's Uniformed Patrol Division responded to a crash around 9:30 pm on Tuesday at the intersection of Iberia Street and Ambassador W. Lemelle Drive.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux announced this afternoon that his office has arrested and booked a 16-year-old male juvenile suspect in connection with a homicide in Breaux Bridge yesterday afternoon.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz said his office was notified just before 1:30 am that a male subject was dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The man later died from his injury.
When officers arrived at the residence, located in the 1500 block of Montagne Street, they found the victim laying on the floor with gunshot wounds inside the home.
