It's been almost four years since the murder of Timothy Breaux, and law enforcement needs help solving the case.

The Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting last night around 6:07 pm in the 2500 block of E. Simcoe Street. Once on the scene, officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

One person died following a shooting late Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Sophie Street in Lafayette.

Officers with the Department's Uniformed Patrol Division responded to a crash around 9:30 pm on Tuesday at the intersection of Iberia Street and Ambassador W. Lemelle Drive.

Around 12:57 am on Wednesday, February 22, Lafayette Police responded to a shooting in progress in the 200 block of Verdun Street.

Around 1:50 am on Monday, Lafayette Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue regarding a shooting in progress.

While the victim has been identified, police are still investigating what happened Sunday morning.

Lafayette Police are searching for a suspect and investigating the scene.

Investigations into fatal crashes are underway throughout Acadiana.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux announced this afternoon that his office has arrested and booked a 16-year-old male juvenile suspect in connection with a homicide in Breaux Bridge yesterday afternoon.

The Lafayette Police Department was called out to the scene of a homicide earlier this afternoon.

Covington police have not released much information about the crime.

Investigators with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office are trying to identify a homicide victim.

Detectives are working to confirm the identity of the suspect at this time.

Both suspects were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

Another child, a two-year-old, is in critical condition.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz said his office was notified just before 1:30 am that a male subject was dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The man later died from his injury.

When officers arrived at the residence, located in the 1500 block of Montagne Street, they found the victim laying on the floor with gunshot wounds inside the home.

The New Orleans Police Department said they found a man dead in his closet on Tuesday after his wife reported him missing on Monday.

The fatal shooting happened at around 9 o'clock Sunday night.
