A grocery chain with stores across Texas and Louisiana is facing scrutiny in the Senate over new electronic shelf tags, which critics say will lead to unfair pricing.
Kroger and Albertsons, which have been working on the merger deal for months now, made the list of stores to be sold in Louisiana and Texas available publicly for the first time.
The grocery store giants have already said that consumers in Louisiana and Texas, among other communities, can expect lower prices in the wake of the merger.
