We are one step closer to going into a CAVA food coma.

While The Original Ground Pat’I did not release a public statement addressing the closure, we did call and get confirmation that their last day of operation was June 4th, 2024. We reached out after word spread of patrons attempting to dine in at the Johnston Street location to find the doors were locked.

According to Peter Sclafani, Founder and CEO of Making Raving Fans Hospitality Group, SoLou offers a modern take on Louisiana comfort food, craft cocktails, wine, and beer in an Instagram-worthy chic setting. The Lafayette Location will take over the former Grub burger space off of Kaliste Saloom Road in River Ranch, which Sclafani describes as "the fifty-yard line of River Ranch".

The Lafayette community has been eagerly waiting to see what would be opening in place of Mr. C's Landing. Good News, the wait is finally over and 'Bushido' has taken over the space located at 5741 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503 right by the Acadiana mall.

Victoria's Cafe, located at 802 Jefferson St, Lafayette, LA 70501, right next door to The Juliet Hotel, offers a wide variety of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner options—everything from fried favorites like fried shrimp and chicken to grilled salmon and chicken kabobs.

There are two things Lafayette is obsessed with and no, for once we are not talking about boiled crawfish. The Acadiana community has supported Caroline Merryman since she was selling her beloved cookies at the Farmer's market before she ever had a brick and mortar, let alone two. Now she is making moves once again that has fans of her giant cookies ecstatic.
