Missing Man

A local man has been missing for weeks, only his car was found.

According to Sheriff Becket Breaux, at approximately 8:20 am this morning (4/2/24), deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol Division recovered the body of 27-year-old Ronald James Batiste.

27-year-old Ronald Batiste was last seen in Henderson fishing with a friend on Saturday evening.

Aircrews with the USCG spent several hours on Monday (Nov. 13) searching off Louisiana's coast for the man to no avail.

A man who had not been heard from by his family for more than six months was located in California.
