Governor Edwards announced the Phase 3 guidelines for Louisiana at a press conference today. He later went to Twitter to deliver more information on his announcement and also is urging people to be realistic as Phase 3 may be where Louisiana stays until a vaccine is widely available.
Per a press release from the Lafayette Parish School System, as the state of Louisiana moves into Phase 3 of its reopening plan, the Lafayette Parish School System will remain in Phase 2 of their 2020-2021 Learn Lafayette Reopening Plan.
Since June 5th, Louisiana has been stuck in Phase 2. During that time, a statewide mask mandate was put in place by Governor John Bel Edwards on July 13th.
