If you plan on traveling I-10 between Baton Rouge and New Orleans the weekend of January 13, you may want to take an alternate route.

Officials with DOTD hope that everyone will drive with extra caution through construction zones.

Tom Carroll, Director of the Public Works Department, says the construction is happening in the 3300 block of Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.

The Department of Transportation and Development has announced the following REVISED road closures due to flooding in Acadiana.

The following areas are still reporting problems with high water in the roadway. The public is asked to avoid these areas until the water subsides and the streets are cleared of abandoned vehicles.

A Flood WARNING has been issued for Iberia, St. Mary, eastern Vermilion, southern St. Martin and southeastern Lafayette parishes. Because of that, road closures are beginning to pop up across Acadiana.

Effective immediately, the following road closure are in place. The roads will be reopened as soon as conditions improve.
