It is official! Parish public schools across Acadiana and the rest of south Louisiana will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday!

For the second week in a row, schools in Acadiana will close because of expected wintry weather.

With the possibility of some wintry weather tonight into tomorrow, at least one school system has announced it will close down for tomorrow.

The freezing winter weather is causing headaches across Acadiana, and now we're starting to get reports of school closures.

With the rain passing through, but a large amount of water still unable to drain, many roads are still impassable. As a result, it was announced that the following parishes' public schools will be closed:

Due to impending weather and possible icy road conditions, many Acadiana area schools are announcing that they will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, February 3, 2011), and also monitoring Friday's predicted conditions to determine whether schools will be open Friday or not.
