Taking Selfies Makes You Happier
No wonder why Kim Kardashian is so happy!
According to a new study from the University of California, Irving, taking selfies actually make you happier. Ok, so it's a little more involved than just taking a selfie; you have to take a selfie and share it with friends. But, let's be real, what's the point of taking a selfie if you aren't showing anyone?
UCI links selfies to happiness, because when you take a selfie, you're most likely smiling - and just the act of smiling makes you happier. The study also found that when you share those smiling selfies and get a positive response, you will be in a better mood.
You can check out the full study on the UCI website, and while you're doing that, I'm gonna go ahead and lock myself in the bathroom and take selfies. And if you're questioning my selfie location of choice, trust me, bathrooms have the best lighting, which means better selfies, which means more likes. And UCI just told me that more likes leads to more happiness, so taking selfies in the bathroom makes complete sense.
