As Taylor Swift fans buzz with excitement surrounding the release of 'Speak Now' (Taylor's Version), three celebrities may be dreading reignited backlash from the newly recorded album.

If you haven’t heard by now Taylor Swift has been rerecording her albums and re-releasing them. But why bother? Who would want to listen to the same exact songs much less purchase vinyl and CDs with the rerecordings on them? One word. Swifties.

Once news got out that Scooter Braun vindictively purchased her masters all bets were off, and she has been working tirelessly to own the music she’s written by re-releasing them under their original titles with the addition of “Taylor’s Version” following the title. While all the track lists are identical, she has been sneaking in unreleased tracks from the “vault” that add to the excitement and anticipation.

But not everyone is excited about these re-recordings—specifically those who Taylor didn't exactly hold back on via her very pointed songwriting at the time of the album's original release in 2010.

Let's focus on three people in particular who more than likely are not looking forward to revisiting their drama with Taylor (more specifically, from her Swifties) from over a decade ago.

I think we all remember that moment in 2009 when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Music Video at the MTV Music Awards. Let's be honest, it was a very Kanye thing to do but also a super embarrassing moment for Swift to experience in front of millions of people publicly as a 20-year-old.

While Taylor Swift has been stereotyped for only writing about ex-boyfriends the track titled ‘Innocent’ on her Album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), that’s set to release tonight at midnight on July 7th, is in response to this humiliating moment involving Kanye West.

Now of course someone had to be a shoulder for Taylor to cry on and who better than Taylor…Taylor Launtner that is, to comfort her who says he’s excited for the album to be released and jokes that he is “Praying for John” in an interview with Today.com.  You could say that the Kanye chaos launched the Taylor and Taylor relationship that allegedly is the inspiration behind the third track on Speak Now TV.

John Mayer

I know that’s a lot of Taylor talk. Maybe we should finally address the elephant in the room. John Mayer.

The hype and anticipation around Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) are explicitly somewhat unmatched because it consists of “diaristic confessions” that detail a few of her most infamous relationships with celebrities including John Mayer. It’s rumored that allegedly the track “Dear John” is about his and Swift’s relationship that went up in flames publicly in 2009.

The irony is that Taylor is revisiting this album at the age John Mayer was when they were together. At a recent concert in Minneapolis Swift asked her fans to be kind online since these guys also have to relive these memories and she clarified, “I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19, except the songs I wrote and the memories we made together,”

This statement was followed by her playing “Dear John” as one of the surprise songs which was epically hilarious since it confirms the Swiftie's suspicions.

You can say what you want about Taylor Swift but one thing I think we can all acknowledge is she is truly a ‘Mastermind’ and never misses a moment to tie everything up with a big red bow for her fans.
