The FBI made a huge admission Friday in regards to the person who allegedly shot up the school in Parkland, Fl.

The agency admitted that in early January someone contacted them, the FBI, to let them know that Nikolas Cruz had intentions to return to his former high school and shoot the place up.

The informant reportedly told the FBI that Cruz had guns and that he should be considered dangerous.

Here's what the FBI had to say in a statement they released Friday:

“We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami field office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time,”

FBI Director Christopher Wray says that he hopes to get to the bottom of this and see what protocol was not followed by his agency.

According to ABC News, the FBI was also alerted on Cruz's questionable social media posts.

We'll continue to follow this developing story.
