A couple of thieves broke into a popular Lafayette restaurant early Wednesday morning.

The thieves were caught on video surveillance breaking into "Hot Food Express" and then breaking into a couple of gaming machines near the restaurant's entrance.

The owner of the restaurant said in his Facebook post that the money from these machines is often used to help feed the homeless in Lafayette and a portion of the money even goes to supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Luckily no one was in the building when the break-in occurred, but the owner of the restaurant would like your help in identifying those that are responsible. Over $1,000 in damage was done to the local business.

Owner Zee Baloch says that he hopes those who broke into his business are caught soon so that they don't break into another small local business.

According to Baloch, those who broke into the business did leave several fingerprints on the door and even on the games that they broke into.

The video of the break-in was shared on social media and you can now see it below. If you have any information on this crime you can call Lafayette Crime Stoppers at  337-232-8477.
