The struggle is real for anyone trying to kick off 2016 with the oh-so popular "hit the gym" New Years resolution, I should know, because this is me every freaking year.

I start off January 1st eating two salads and renewing my gym membership, but by January 5th I'm elbow deep in a McDonald's bag searching for the last french fry. Yeah, I know it's embarrassing, but it's life, and don't lie, you are the exact same way.

Starting off a new year with a healthy outlook on life is way easier said than done. It really is a lifestyle change, and I'm currently trying to figure out how to change my life enough to make this all work. Going to the gym means trying to leave work early, which means getting to work early, which means waking up early, which means I'm going to be tired by the end of the day and not want to go to the gym. And don't even get me started on the food. How anyone can choose a kale salad over a slice of pizza is crazy to me.

I'm starting to think I just need self control. Can you be hypnotized into having self control? Because, the struggle is real and I'm trying to stick to my New Years resolution this year.

But, until I figure this out I will watch this Adele parody on repeat and cry, because it is so on point with my life. Also, can these people be my best friends? They just get me.
