Over these next two weeks, expect to see more Lafayette Police officers on the roadways in the Hub City. The department is conducting a Lafayette traffic safety campaign that starts today and lasts through March 14.

According to a press release from LPD, special emphasis will be placed on catching and enforcing traffic violations on several target areas within the city itself.

"As we continue in our efforts to make the roads safer, we ask that motorists commit to safe driving behaviors to minimize accidents within the city," says Senior Corporal Bridgette Dugas in a press release.
