This past weekend, a Tennessee man was arrested, and police were likely shocked when they learned his name.

According to the Johnson City Police Department, a White man named Tupac Shakur was arrested in Johnson City, Tenn. on Saturday (Oct. 19) and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple possession of methamphetamine and having unlawful drug paraphernalia. The 40-year-old man reportedly had multiple warrants out for his arrest and police had been called on him earlier in the day, though it's unclear as to why.

The report states that when cops arrived, 'Pac fled the scene as a passenger in someone's car. When police later located the vehicle with Shakur still in it, he pulled a knife on them as they attempted to arrest him. He was eventually wrestled to the ground, subdued and taken in. Cops reportedly found a syringe and multiple baggies of methamphetamine on him.

Tupac is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $18,000 bond and will be arraigned on Monday (Oct. 21).
