TurboTax Releases Update on When Customers Will Receive Stimulus Payment

TurboTax has released an update for customers concerning efforts to correct the problem, and when you may finally receive your stimulus payment from the IRS.

Monday, January 5, was the official IRS stimulus payment date. Million of Americans received their stimulus checks without any issues, but unfortunately millions of Americans are still wondering where their stimulus money has gone, or if they'll get it at all.

Some people who used tax prep services like TurboTax and H&R Block for their 2019 taxes saw their IRS stimulus payments get deposited into erroneous bank accounts. For people desperately needing that stimulus, this has been a nightmare to put it lightly.

Unfortunately, because of an IRS error, millions of payments were sent to the wrong accounts and some may not have received their stimulus payment. As a result, our expectation now is that within days the error will be corrected and stimulus payments will begin being deposited into the correct bank accounts.

TurboTax goes on to say that they has also been working with the IRS to correct banking information for their customers in the event a third round of stimulus payments are sent out.
