The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are on the rise once again in the latest ESPN College Football Power Index, which was released on Sunday.

Louisiana jumped up seven spots, to #52 in this week's ESPN Power Index.

This marks the fourth-straight week that the Cajuns have climbed in the Power Index.

UL won their fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Georgia Southern Eagles, 37-24, in their Sun Belt Conference opener in Statesboro, Georgia.

The Cajuns return to action on Wednesday, October 9 when they play host to Appalachian St. in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

The Power Index now projects Louisiana to win 10 games this season and ranks their remaining schedule as one of the easiest, ranking at #98 among 130 FBS schools.

Alabama is ranked atop the ESPN Power Index, with Ohio St., Clemson, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

LSU is in the number six position.

Louisiana is listed as the highest-rated school from the Sun Belt Conference, with Appalachian St. next at #62.
