The University of Louisiana honored Brad Wedlock, who was a student at UL who died this week in a fatal crash in Lafayette.

On Wednesday, the University lowered it's flag on campus and sent a uniform officer to Ville Platte where Brad's service was held. The UL Police Officer led the funeral procession in a marked vehicle through the city.

UL has also planned a candlelight vigil for Brad on Thursday and it will be held at 6pm at the Picard Center, which is located behind the University Medical Center.

Brad was pursuing his Ph.D. in education at UL and even hosted the night show on HOT 107.9 a few years ago.

I want to thank the University of Louisiana for honoring Brad. So many people at his funeral noticed the UL Police Officer there to escort Brad to his final resting spot and it meant a lot to his friends and family.

Job well done, UL!!
