Consider last year's success for the Cajuns on the football field a thing of the past because the 2012 football season is here. That's right, football is back at Cajun Field this weekend and the Cajuns want to see their faithful fans pack the stadium for the upcoming 2012 Spring game. The annual Ragin' Cajuns Red vs. White spring game will be held on Saturday, March 31 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Cajun Field. Admission to the game is FREE to ALL who attend the game. Not only will admission to the game be free, but parking at Cajun Field will be free too.

For those hoping to tailgate before the game, the lots will be given out on a first come basis. Plus, the band CajuNation will also be playing from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on the Oak Tree Stage.

While the game may only seem as an exhibition between the two separate teams  this Saturday,  there is a lot on the line for not only the players, but for the coaches as well. "The winning team gets to take Monday off from conditioning while the losers will get to come into the stadium and Protect The House," Hudspeth said of the conditioning drill in which the UL players touch every step in the stadium.

Coach Mark Hudspeth says that he would like to see at least 10,000 fans in the stands for the upcoming Spring game this Saturday, and after a season where the Cajuns averaged a school-record 29,171 fans last year, this may not be as impossible as it may sound.

New season tickets are available by visiting the Ragin' Cajuns Ticket Central online at RaginCajuns.com or by calling (337) 851-2011. Ticket prices start at just $96 with a special Family 5 Pak featuring lower bowl seating being available for $330.
