UL Student’s “Small Apple” Video Has Gone Viral In China [VIDEO]
This video was made to showcase Louisiana culture to China by a UL student.
One thing about Louisiana residents, we love to show the world how proud we are to be from Louisiana. New people move to Lafayette every day, not just people from around the U.S. but people from around the world. They love our culture, and of course, our food.
According to The Advertiser, Xiangbo "Bill Lee" Li, a graduate student of UL, wanted to showcase Louisiana by doing it in a popular Chinese song and dance called "Small Apple" by Chopsticks Brother.
He showcases the French Quarter in New Orleans, Downtown Lafayette and parts of the UL campus in this fun video. The dancers display Ragin Cajun gear along with other costumes.
This really is a fun video and it's making waves in China, getting over 450,000 views on China's version of YouTube called Youku.com. Although it has 5,000 hits on YouTube here in the states, it's sure to be a hit right here in Lafayette.
