Can police do anything about this? KEEL News obtained this video of young men riding down the Clyde Fant Parkway on Saturday afternoon waving guns out the window of the cars.
A motorist traveling behind the cars shot this video and shared it online.

On this video you can clearly see the Overton Brooks V.A. Hospital in the background.

Social media is abuzz about this video. Here are some of the comments about this scene that happened in our community:

"This is Wrong to the fullest extent, what would happen if one of the guns supposedly went off and hit someone in another car.... I doubt anyone would stop. THIS IS WHY WE SUPPORT THE BLUE.. enough is enough. Praying"

And another:

"So wrong .... this is why I’m scared for my kids driving anywhere in Shreveport. I have shared this video with all of them and they are now understanding what I mean."

And one more: "Sad state of affairs in our city."

Louisiana is an open carry state and it is legal to carry your gun with you on your hip. But is it ok to wave a gun out of a car window while you are driving down a local street? We have asked police chief Ben Raymond to explain why this is so dangerous and what charges these young men could face. A spokesman for the chief sent us this message about what they could be charged with:

Specifically no seatbelt, reckless operation, possession of a handgun by a juvenile or felon (if they are) aggravated assault ( if they point it at someone or threaten another with it), illegal use (if the began discharging it in an area where others could forseeably be hurt.

Sergeant Angie Willhite also tells us "if the guns were stolen they could be charged. And the simple act of hanging out of a car window while the car is in motion is extremely dangerous and one mishap could result in senseless  loss of  life."
