Vigil, Visitation, Funeral Services Announced for Sr. Cpl. Segus Jolivette

The Lafayette Police Department and the community will be coming together this week to honor the memory of Senior Corporal Segus Jolivette, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Sgt. Robin Green has shared the scheduled events to commemorate his dedication and sacrifice, some of which are open to the public.

Candlelight Vigil

The vigil will be a heartfelt gathering to honor Senior Corporal Jolivette’s memory, where the community can come together in support and remembrance.

Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Visitation and Wake (PRIVATE)
- Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Our Saviors Church, Opelousas Campus
202 Our Savior Church Blvd, Opelousas, LA 70570

This visitation and wake will be private and exclusive to family, friends, and colleagues who wish to pay their respects and share memories of Senior Corporal Jolivette.

The final visitation will precede the funeral services that are open to the public, during which we will honor Senior Corporal Jolivette's life and service. This will be a time for mourning, reflection, and celebrating his legacy.

Fundraiser Information

A fundraiser at both Prejean's and Deano's locations is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The fundraiser aims to support Senior Corporal Jolivette’s family during this difficult time.
