There's no doubt Waka Flocka Flame lives a crazy life. His wild sold out tours and larger-than-life personality do more than enough to add a little color to everyday happenings. But the Brick Squad star came under fire online recently for what turned out to be nothing more than family fun.

Waka posted a Snapchat of a toddler crying in a dog cage yesterday (May 18) and almost immediately caught heat from fans. Some people assumed Waka was the one who put the little girl into the cage and others called out the Atlanta MC for ridiculing the crying baby, saying, "I'll bond you out" as if she were in jail.

The original video could be misconstrued as alarming without getting the back story. And of course, in the age of the Internet, viewers are more likely to jump to conclusions than waiting to get all the facts straight. What it turned out to be was a harmless and hilarious family moment caught on camera. Waka got back on Snapchat soon after to explain the previous post and in the process, put all those social media police in check.

As Waka explained, the video was of his 3-year-old niece who accidentally locked herself in the dog cage by mistake. The whole thing was, in Flocka's words, “taken out of context.”

This is definitely not the first time people on social media have jumped the gun on expressing anger over a celebrity's post online. Just yesterday, actress Blake Lively was dragged online for using a Sir Mix-A-lot lyric as an Instagram caption.
