I think this year's edition of the New Orleans Saints is a better team than the one that won Super Bowl XLIV. That being said, I thought last year's team was, too. We know how that turned out. What are the odds makers saying? Nineteen teams are still mathematically in playoff contention. That includes the Cleveland Browns (6-7-1) at 5,000 to 1. The hated Carolina Panthers (6-8) are still in the playoff hunt at 500 to 1. Enough! Let's get serious. Who do the "experts" think will take the Lombardi trophy this year? USA Today ranked the playoff contenders, and the odds on favorite is our own New Orleans Saints at 8/5. Click here for the complete list.

The black & gold need one more victory to nail down the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs. If they beat Pittsburgh this Sunday, or Carolina next week, the road to Super Bowl LIII goes through the Mercedes Benz Superdome. In case you're not aware the game will be played at Mercedes Benz Stadium...in Atlanta. That name doesn't sit right with me. It would be SO poetic for the Saints to hoist the Lombardi in the dirty birds' house.
