New information reveals that the guy who jumped the fence at the White House may have gotten way farther onto the property than originally reported.

42-year-old Omar Gonzalez was only believed to have made it 100 yards before being tackled after he jumped the fence at the White House last week—this according to a statement released by the Secret Service.

Gonzalez failed to comply with responding Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers’ verbal commands, and was physically apprehended after entering the White House North Portico doors.

According to information from a law enforcement official confirmed by ABC News, Gonzalez was actually tackled and arrested in the East Room, where President Obama and many other former presidents make some of their most important announcements.

Security in and around the White House was immediately beefed up—and even though President Obama and Joe Biden weren't there at the time of the breech, the Secret Service is going to be on the hot seat as a House Committee will be looking for answers as to how an intruder was allowed to get that close.

Gonzalez was homeless in Washington for the past three months after serving in the U.S. Army for 13 years.
