Will.i.am is very protective over his business ventures -- as any music mogul should be. However, the 'Scream & Shout' artist is taking fellow producer Pharrell Williams to court over his I am OTHER brand.

According to the Black Eyed Peas frontman, he has copyrighted his brand, I AM. Pharrell's' I am OTHER logo looks strikingly similar to Will.i.am's I AM images. And "the registration of the mark . . . is likely to dilute the I AM mark and the WILL.I.AM mark," official court documents said, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Meanwhile, the Neptunes producer is denying all allegations. "I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me," Pharrell told Rolling Stone in a statement. "I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions. I am surprised in how this is being handled and I am confident that Will's trademark claims will ultimately be found to be as meritless and ridiculous as I do."
