XXXTentacion's sister, Ariana Onfroy, has broken her silence about his death and claims that his murder was done by people who knew him and wanted his money.

"I definitely believe it was an inside job because of how calculated the whole thing was," she told The Sun in an interview published today (Sept. 18). "Those killers knew he was going to be there. There's somebody in the inside that knew exactly where he was going to be at that exact time and when he was going to be leaving that exact time."

When X was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach, Fla. on June 18 at the age of 20, his killers reportedly made off with $50,000 and a Louis Vuitton duffel bag that was inside the rapper's car. The murder was reportedly a robbery gone wrong, but Ariana Onfroy believes it was done by someone in his inner circle with the motive of "financial gain."

X, who has a storied legal history that involves domestic battery, was trying to turn his life around at the time of his death, according to his sister. "At that time in his life, he was trying to change. I don't remember him being in a controversy with anyone. It was for financial gain. I don't know what other reason it possibly could have been."

Ariana also says that she's not able to visit her brother's gravesite, which is a grand mausoleum, in retribution for speaking out about the alleged inside job. She doesn't specify who, but claims people are "trying to do anything to keep me down and keep me fearful of them."

In the months since XXXTentacion's death, all four suspects have been arrested and now face capital murder charges. It's unclear at this time if the four men, Dedrick Williams, Robert Allen, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome, had any previous connection to X.

Ariana, who shared home videos of a young X after he died, also shared her hope that X's fans will remember him for the positive things he left behind. "He wasn't perfect, but he was a beautiful person. Remember him as a young man who was trying to change and didn't get the opportunity to do so."

On the music front, XXXTentacion is up for three posthumous awards nominations. He's nominated for Best New Artist and Favorite Album (Soul/R&B) for his 17 album at the 2018 American Music Awards and Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards.
