YG Receives Game Ball After Los Angeles Rams Touchdown
YG had a solid Thursday night (Sept. 28). His beloved Los Angeles Rams fended off the Minnesota Vikings in a 38-31 home victory and he walked away from the game with wide receiver Robert Woods' touchdown ball.
Woods nabbed his decisive catch near the end of the third quarter to put the Rams up 10 points. Without breaking stride, Woods ran through the end zone and leaped up to high five YG, who was celebrating on a field-side VIP table. After hugging Rams running back Todd Gurley, Woods gifted YG the game ball.
"Robert Woods, touchdown, YG, 400, let's go. Rams up, bih," the rapper told a camera operator after the play.
YG, who released his latest album Stay Dangerous last month, has proven to be the city's most public celebrity Rams fan, sitting behind the end zone during most home games and occasionally hyping up the crowd over the loudspeaker. On Thursday, he performed a new song titled "Take Off" on the field during a commercial timeout.
The franchise, which moved from St. Louis back to Los Angeles before the 2016 NFL season, has also secured loyalty from the Top Dawg Entertainment squad. Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q visited the team's practice facility during the 2016 preseason and Jay Rock's "Win" plays in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after Rams victories. Jay performed the song before the team's regular season home opener on Sept. 16.
With a 4-0 record, the Rams are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFC. Watch Robert Woods celebrate his touchdown with YG and listen to a preview of the rapper's song "Take Off" below.
