Young Thug and Camila Cabello's 2017 collab, "Havana," finally got some recognition on the awards show circuit.

On Monday night (Aug. 20), Cabello was awarded the trophy for Video of the Year at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. Being that Thugger was in the video and on the song, he too took a home a W, even if he wasn't at the ceremony at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

Released toward the end of last summer, "Havana" is a piano-fueled tune that borrows the best of both Thugger and Cabello. The single has gone five-times platinum since its release.

The video for "Havana" is a creative one that finds both Thugger and Cabello rocking out in a Cuban nightclub. For his part, Thug plays the role of a lounge singer, and he looks quite natural doing it. Cabello, meanwhile, dances the night away.

This win marks a bit of good news for Thugger and the rest of the hip-hop world, which won big at the 2018 MTV VMAs earlier tonight. Among those who took home awards were Cardi B (Best New Artist, Best Collaboration, "Dinero" with Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled), Nicki Minaj (Best Hip-Hop, "Chun Li") and Post Malone and 21 Savage (Song of the Year, "Rockstar").
