Lane Begnaud of Youngsville has terminal cancer. Like most kids, Lane loves Christmas, but sadly may not get to enjoy it this year. However, neighbors in his subdivision are making sure he does get enjoy his favorite holiday, and are starting to decorate for Christmas three months early.

In a recent Facebook post, neighbor Erica LeJeune says "Many of us are going to go ahead and decorate for Christmas so that he can observe his families tradition of going to look at Christmas lights one last time."

The neighborhood making Lane's Christmas dream come true is the Sabal Palms subdivision in Youngsville.

Looking at the comments on Facebook, it seems other neighborhoods want to join in as well. If you decorate for Christmas early for Lane, please let us know so we can add you to this story.

This is so touching and once again reminds me why living in Acadiana is so special.
