Family Seeks Help For 6 Year Old Killed In Youngsville Tragedy
A local family is asking for the community’s support following the heartbreaking loss of a 6 year old boy killed in a tragic shooting in the Youngsville area.
Loved ones have identified the child as Jasper, a young boy described as bright, loving, and deeply cherished by his family.
In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe has been launched by family members to help Jasper’s mother cover funeral and memorial expenses during what they describe as an unimaginable time.
Remembering Jasper
In a message shared on the fundraiser page, family member Alyia Broussard described the devastating loss and the impact Jasper had on those around him.
“He was a bright, loving little boy who meant the world to everyone who knew him,” the post reads.
The fundraiser explains that Jasper’s mother was not financially prepared for such an unexpected loss, including the cost of funeral arrangements.
In addition, Jasper’s stepfather, who works offshore, had to return home immediately and will be unable to work during this time as he supports his family.

How To Help The Family
Family members say any support, whether through donations or simply sharing the fundraiser, can make a meaningful difference as they navigate their grief.
Funds raised will go toward funeral and memorial services, with any remaining support helping the family stay together during the difficult days ahead.
Those who wish to contribute or learn more can visit the fundraiser here. There are also meal trains set up for families affected.
Any support or share can make a difference.
