The NBA player with the most hype entering the league we've ever seen next to LeBron James will soon be making his New Orleans Pelicans debut.

President of Basketball Operations David Griffin told reporters on Wednesday that Zion will be making his debut on Wednesday January 22nd at home against the San Antonio Spurs.

Williamson had knee surgery in October and has been working and rehabbing since to get himself back.

Griffin also added, that he wanted Zion to compete in two more practices before he's deemed ready to begin his NBA career. He's scheduled to join the Pelicans for practice Friday and Sunday ahead of New Orleans hitting the road to Memphis to face the Grizzlies.

Finally, Griffin added that the team never had the plan to rest Williamson for the rest of the season unless it was absolutely necessary due to injury.
