Aaron Carter Claims He Doesn’t Drink Despite DUI Arrest
Aaron Carter has denied he drinks alcohol just days after he was arrested in Georgia for a DUI.
On July 15, Carter was apprehended by police on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. His girlfriend Madison Parker was also arrested for obstruction and drug charges, but in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Carter insisted police got it all wrong.
Carter said he'd recently bought a cheap car to save money on rentals while touring around the country, and that the car kept breaking down — on the night of his arrest, he says none of the windows would roll up, and after pulling into an AutoZone, he stood guard while his girlfriend slept in the backseat.
He added that police approached him while he was inside the AutoZone, forced him out and ignored his request to speak to his attorney. Since then, Carter said nothing has been adding up.
“I do not drink alcohol at all. I’ll occasionally have a sip of beer or something like that, but I can’t even drink IPAs,” he said, but admitted using marijuana for anxiety and to help bolster his appetite.
“I don’t need help," he added. "What I need is for people to understand that I’m human and I make mistakes just like every other human in this world, but I would never risk my life or my girlfriend’s life. I do not drink. Hire a polygraph person, a professional. Strap me up.”
