Lafayette Woman Set To Appear On New Netflix Dating Series ‘Let’s Marry Harry’
A Lafayette woman is about to represent Acadiana on one of Netflix's newest reality dating shows.
Twenty-four-year-old Abby, a medical esthetician from Lafayette, has been announced as one of 20 contestants on "Let's Marry Harry," a new Netflix dating competition centered around reality television personality Harry Jowsey. The series is set to premiere August 5.
Lafayette Gets A Netflix Moment
While reality dating shows have become a staple of streaming television, it's always exciting when someone from South Louisiana lands in the spotlight.
Abby will join contestants from across the country in hopes of winning over Jowsey, who first rose to fame on Netflix's "Too Hot to Handle" before later appearing on "Perfect Match."
Who Is Abby?
According to Netflix's contestant biography, Abby describes herself as someone with "main character energy" who appreciates traditional romance and believes men should pay for dates.
She also says she's drawn to Jowsey's smile and sense of humor but is especially interested in getting to know the family-oriented side of him. Family, according to her biography, plays a major role in her own life as well.

What's "Let's Marry Harry" About?
Unlike many dating shows where the lead makes every decision, "Let's Marry Harry" puts much of the power in the hands of Harry Jowsey's closest friends and family.
Helping determine who sticks around are television personality Amanda Kloots, Jowsey's former girlfriend Georgia Hassarati, and longtime friend Sonny Henty, all tasked with helping him find someone who could become his wife.
Netflix says Jowsey is entering the series looking for something much more serious than viewers have seen in the past after years of highly publicized relationships. According to the streamer, he's hoping to leave hookup culture behind, settle down and eventually start a family.
Harry Jowsey Introduces The Cast
Ahead of the show's debut, Jowsey shared a first look at the women competing for his heart on social media, writing simply:
"Meet the women who took a chance on me."
He also reminded fans that "Let's Marry Harry" premieres August 5 on Netflix.
Acadiana Will Be Watching
Reality television has produced its share of memorable personalities over the years, and now Acadiana has another one to cheer for.
Whether Abby finds lasting love or simply becomes one of the breakout personalities of the season, Lafayette will have yet another hometown reality hero when "Let's Marry Harry" debuts on Netflix on August 5.
