Alvin Kamara Among Handful of Saints Officially Ruled Out of Eagles Game
With the New Orleans Saints looking to snap their two-game losing streak, they will once again be without their star running back per reports. Alvin Kamara got in a limited practice on Wednesday, but after missing practice altogether on Thursday he has now officially been ruled out for Sunday's contest against Philidelphia.
See the report from @nick_underhill on Twitter below.
While Mark Ingram has handled the extra work pretty well so far, losing Kamara for a second-straight week is a massive blow to the Saints offensive attack.
There was some semblance of optimism following Kamara's limited appearance at Wednesday's practice, but that optimism turned bleak when Thursday's injury report came out. It included a lengthy list of Saints' starters who did not participate including Taysom Hill, Terron Armstead, Ryan Ramczyk, and Malcolm Roach.
More from @nick_underhill shows that only Taysom Hill has a chance at playing on Sunday.
The New Orleans offense being banged-up is an understatement at this point.
The injury bug has absolutely plagued the Saints this season as the offensive line has had trouble staying healthy and, of course, the season ending knee injury to Jameis Winston.
Can the Saints pull off a win against the Eagles on Sunday? It is going to take a pretty stellar performance from Trevor Siemian, Mark Ingram, as well as the Saints defense to get the job done. The entire team will have to play mistake-free football to avoid another devastating 4th quarter loss such as the ones the team suffered against the Falcons and the Titans.
