With a new administration in place in Washington D.C., efforts to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill in favor of Harriet Tubman are being resumed by the U.S. Treasury Department.

According to the above report from KATC-TV3, the announcement was made by President  Biden's press secretary on Monday, January 25th.

The decision to place Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill was made back during the Obama presidency. While there is no exact timeline as to when we could see Harriet Tubman on the bill, the new administration is, "exploring ways to speed up that effort" according to the report.
